As he witnessed the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, he realized that this method could also be applied to the treatment of viral infections. By transplanting the “immune memory” of patients who have recovered from infections into ES or iPS cells, Rebirthal can create regenerated killer T cell drugs capable of eliminating infected cells.
