COMPANY OVERVIEW
Atomis is a Kyoto University startup backed by Nobel Chemistry laureate Distinguished Prof. Susumu Kitagawa. We design, manufacture, and sell next-generation porous materials, while offering decentralized gas distribution and carbon recycling systems.
SOLUTION
Leveraging Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs)—porous coordination polymers whose pore structures and adsorption properties can be designed at the molecular level—we address a wide range of societal challenges, including gas storage, separation, and purification, CO₂ capture, moisture adsorption, and hazardous substance removal.
ORIGINALITY
Powered by POROS, our proprietary structural database for next-gen porous materials, and our unique semi-solid-state synthesis for mass production, we deliver custom-matched materials rapidly, sustainably, and cost-effectively
VISION
Beyond the commercial implementation of next-generation porous materials, we contribute to lowering energy costs, enhancing energy security, and achieving decarbonization by establishing small-scale, decentralized city gas networks in the Global South where gas pipelines remain underdeveloped
